Learning To Live A Balanced Lifestyle: Adopting Simple Life Hacks [Sponsored Post]

Before getting in to the meat of this blog post, we need to clarify a few things. Firstly, living a balanced lifestyle and having a successful career are opposing forces. But don’t worry, that’s why you read countless articles and books on ‘trying’ to live a balanced lifestyle. Thanks for tuning in!

Secondly, Life Hacks is a word we borrowed from the Internet (see Lifehacker magazine) that basically helps you find legal ways to so-call ‘hack’ your own life. Here are our favorite hacks at Pryers:

1. Just Take A Breather

Sometimes getting away from work and your busy life is absolutely essential for a clean sheet of health. If you don’t have the option of paid leave then dedicate ten minutes in your day to YOU. That means, get away from your desk during any time of the day and get some fresh air. You would be surprised how efficient you can be once your back at your desk.

2. Have A Schedule Stick To It

Agreed, this is much easier said than done. But if your job allows it, stick to your schedule. If you work a 9 to 5 job, then dedicate 8 hours to work and work only (with the exception of the ten minutes allocated above to focusing on yourself). Once you are done with work, go home and find something to do other than work. That means, putting your cell phone away. We aren’t saying don’t look at it till the next morning. Instead keep your cell phone away from your eyes and hands for a whole 60 minutes.

3. Take Care Of Your Hair

This tip is mostly targeted at the woman reader. As a working girl, nothing is more important than knowing your hair looks like a millions bucks. Because we all know that when you look good, you feel good! We recommend using biotin tablets (but consult your doctor first). They promote healthy hair, nails, and skin. If biotin tablets aren’t for you, find a good morocco oil substitute. You’d be surprised by how healthy it makes your hair look.

4. Phone A Friend

No you aren’t on “who wants to be a millionaire”. But contrary to tip 2, there is nothing more relaxing than calling a friend or (potentially) a family member you actually like and catching up with them. Friends usually encourage you and your life decisions and knowing you have support behind you usually promotes happiness and healthy living.
